Hi! I’m Sophy and I am the owner of Stage & Smile and I run the singing classes. I have been in the performing arts industry for 20 years performing in various theatre shows, taking part in local events and now teaching. I have been teaching for nearly 2 years and I love what I do! It’s so important to me to create a space where anyone can feel safe and welcome no matter your level of skill or confidence. Music brings joy to everyone, no matter what genre you enjoy and I love nothing more than exploring that with people and making sure that you walk away from my classes feeling happy and uplifted! Come and join in with the fun, gain confidence, make new friends and most importantly, have a good time!

Hi! I’m Gail and I am teaching the dance classes at Stage & Smile. I’m a professionally trained performer. Dancing and performing has always been a huge part of my life and helped me grow in confidence. That’s one of the reasons I love teaching, getting to see people grow in confidence and love what they’re doing. I am very passionate about creating a safe space for everyone and I can’t wait to start teaching with Sophy!

Hi! I’m George and I am the cover dance teacher for Stage and Smile. I have been performing since I was around two years old in both dancing and singing. Music and performance is a huge part of my identity as I believe it is a great way to communicate and express yourself (especially for those who have difficulty doing so in other ways). I can’t wait to start teaching because I want to be able to support people in their journey of self expression and confidence through dance. My goal is for people to feel welcomed, accepted and accomplished when they attend my classes! No matter what your skill level is, there is 100% a space for you to come, have fun and bust some moves!

Hi, I am Leanne and I will be the cover singing teacher. From a very young age I have always loved performing and singing. My passion really grew when I was cast as Blousey Brown in my primary school leavers play of Bugsy Malone. I will never forget singing 'I'm feeling fine' and realising that I wanted to keep doing this forever. Fast forward to now and I have been in various musical theatre shows, many theatre shows and most recently performed at local events. I am not a professionally trained singer, but I do hold a first-class honours degree in Theatre Arts and I have been teaching children (mostly drama but also singing and dancing) over the past couple years. I absolutely love singing and bringing joy to people. I will always strive to create a fun and safe environment for all to enjoy at Stage & Smile. I am very passionate and performing has always been a big part of my life. It is the reason I have grown in confidence and I hope I can help others grow through covering these classes and I can't wait to start my journey with Stage & Smile.
